KLEEN POOL IS REGISTERED BY THE EPA--WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

The U.S.  Environmental Protection Agency has reviewed and approved Kleen Pool as an antimicrobial pesticide, the classification of chemicals designed to, among other applications, to reduce and mitigate growth of algae in water.

IS KLEEN POOL TOXIC?

Kleen Pool's proprietary formula is copper-based. Copper is a natural and essential mineral that has been used to sterilize water for thousands of years--notably by both the ancient Egyptians and Romans.

Scientists continue to study the natural antimicrobial properties of copper and its effectiveness is cited in many peer-reviewed journals.

Kleen Pool is a concentrated formula and should not be ingested directly. However, with proper dosage, an adult would have to drink over 50 gallons of pool water per day to exceed the recommended copper intake. Which we do not recommend...

DOES MY POOL STILL NEED CHLORINE?

Proper application of Kleen Pool can reduce chlorine demand by up to 50%. This is the same for salt pools. 

Additionally, other specialty chemicals such as clarifiers, phosphate removers and others are no longer needed. 

WHAT TYPE OF CHLORINE SHOULD I USE IN A KLEEN POOL?

Liquid chlorine is preferred. If using granular chlorine/shock, just dissolve and dilute it in a few gallons of water prior to adding it to the pool.
